I got exedy chromoly, no complaints here. I've only heard bad things with the aluminum wrapping from heat.

Rpm does drop faster, so you can't be lazy with your shifting.

I don't use a flywheel. I just welded input shaft to the crankshaft and put in a high torque starter. Drop it in first and crank the key when you are ready to launch. Good for 1.6s 60fts.

^ ive done that many times with crx when they had cable clutch and the cable was stuck. put it in first gear and start the car. dont need clutch after the car is moving. i can even down shift without clutch.

When they said "Street Legal Airplane" in the title to this story I didn't picture this:

I thought they were talking about something like this with wings.. FTWAEII:

Fine. There's almost no difference in weight between the OE piece and the Streetlite, something like 1lb. I believe the mass is more centralized on the ACT unit however. I bought it used with a fresh resurface here on the forum. I think I paid $125 shipped.

flywheel weight probably isnt a factor when your just wide open at all times

what ive gathered so far is:
stock - 14 pounds
comp - 10 pounds
ACT pro lite - 10 pounds
ACT street lite - about 13 pounds
Exedy - 12 pounds (unconfirmed)

i can get the exedy for 300.

i feel like i want to stay as close to stock as possible...

yeah, it's now just overall weight. it's where the bulk of the mass are, outside vs towards center.

yeah i know, its tough finding pics of the ACTUAL parts and not just generic product marketing pics.

BUT, if its good enough for you, im sure it will make me faster LOL. shop is giving me a decent price, so i will probably do the exedy.
