PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
But you're poolboy's not!
Speaking of age...I went to Maple Grove a few weeks ago. I didn't run, just watched since a friend told me I had to come out and see his friend run in a suped up GTO. Lo and behold his 550hp GTO didn't set any records. Another typical 13.4 @ 110mph from someone who thinks their car is fast. He just got it a month ago. I wanted to go up to him after the night was over and say..."You should take your car back."
ANYWAY...they was an older guy who was running a STI. It was strange though as it had all kinds of decals and graphics on it. Even his name was on the front license plate. He ended up running a 13.2 @104mph....AND was 87 years old! I thought that was really cool. A new level of respect.

happy Friday, bishes.
Rough one last night. Started out with me just putting new pads in, changing front rotors and doing a quick brake fluid bleed. As I was taking the rear DS wheel off I noticed grease errwhere and saw the CV boot had a huge hole in it! This was at 7:30 at night. FML! Thought for a second if I should just bag the event this weekend cause I didn't think I'd get a replacement axle in time, not to mention its a PITA to press the axle out of the hub. Then I remembered I had a spare from my winter overhaul, so I decided to see how far I could get. 5hrs later, at 12:30 I got the axle and and errthing buttoned up. Haven't driven the car to see if errthing is alright, plus I still have to bleed the brakes, but hopefully all that will be uneventful.
See some of you monkeys in about 12-14hrs @ WGI

Only cause the guy in the right seat was screaming "GAS, GAS, GAS"
Surprisingly, getting errthing out took about 40min. Getting the axle to seat in the hub took several hours. Should have cleaned the splines of the used axle much better that I did before putting in the hub..
Live and learn.
