Check it all to make sure. Two years ago at CTD, one of my 02 housing bolts backed out and made a terrible noise. Sounded more like a valve tap. Check and tighten then all.

My holiday coverage just backed out on me so I'll be working through Xmas this year. I originally had it set up to be off the entire week. Not anymore.
We pay a very high rate. I just can't find anyone to cover for me that does everything I need them to do and administration won't allow anyone in the door that can't do my entire job even if it's just for a day or two.

meh...so i think either my downpipe or o2housing neck is broken. the soot on the valve cover along with a definite exhaust leak sound under the car is no bueno.
anybody have thoughts on doing a conventional o2 housing (probably the MAP) vs something like the map o2 eliminator downpipe (theres a used one on here for like 300). id love the CBRD setup but i wanna spend money on safety gear.

The cheap ebay o2's are good, but they will eventually fail with enough heat cycling. The biggest issue with them, IMO, is they aren't braced like OEM. I don't know if any aftermarket solutions are braced like the factory...
have you ever drove/ridden in a car with an open downpipe before? Its like screaming "HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME, I"M SPEEDING" errtime you hit boost. Not bad for a track only car, but not ideal for the street. The other thing to think about with an open dump is heat management. Where are all the hot exhaust gasses going when they get dumped? It might be OK for a 1/4mile pass or dyno pull, but when you're doing a 30minute session and the WG is open for half that time you might run into issues with things melting/overheating. Just something to think about.
Its on!

There was a dude at CTD with an open dump. I can't say I've seen one on track yet. He was shooting mad flames under the car. Good thing he didn't have an oil or fuel leak.

Nate, I ran the Titek 02 housing for 3 years with no issues. I know Thai also has a spare JMFab one he might sell you if you want something really nice. If you need a downpipe, I have a DC Sports downpipe with built-in cat delete for sale as I no longer have any use for it. Its my favorite downpipe by far.
either way i had sorta been planning on doing an o2 housing this winter so i can swaintech it for heat management, wasnt planning on playing with the manifold tho.
