What the hell is this version 2 they talkin bout on the Kooks? After reading it on TR I think the V2 just refers to the change in the TW rating.
F ME IN THE A. i ordered the day before that rebate went up...i want to punch something. no rebates on the re11's i want for the s2k either damn.

the new rs3's had a compound change not just the treadwear rating. although i havent found solid info, it has been mentioned that they were trying to shift the tires low temp/wet performance more towards the star spec and it would possibly effect the high temp handling.

Nate, you have the worst luck... The Dunlops are cheaper now than the Kook's, as long as you get the rebate.

I haven't read anywhere about a compound change, but I'm not totally up to speed on all that stuff. Where did you see this?

you shouldn't be having idling issues without much mods. find someone local with an evo and see if they can swap you the ignition coils to see it fix it. then you can eliminate that it's a coil issue. my next guess would be to get the car retuned, if you haven't retuned since you got the car and it's been like that since you got it.

have you changed spark plugs and make sure the gap is correct.

It always had the idle issue before I did anything to it. CBRD could figure it out either. I bought the car knowing this. I dont know anyone who would be willing to swap out ignition coils to check. My firend Matt said the same thing. I do know the spark plugs were changed back in September or October of last year tho.

Check the EGR's valve hose, it's right below the throttle body. Hard to see, you'd have to reach down and feel it.
