PCD: 2013-2014 Till We Break It Edition
one tranny, stock clutch still good but i replaced it cause tranny was out. i did over 90 days of track with my car the last 3 years. you only tracked your car for one year and you're barely faster than a miata. you were pointing by mhyar in the miata in the rain at Thunderbolt. lol
I'm with Chu. You all about hatin on Evo's now. I had 70k on my stock clutch which I replaced only because I had an aftermarket sitting in my basement for 1.5yrs waiting to go in. It still has life and will post pics of it if you'd like...? Even taught ex-wifey how to drive stick in it (many tears), without issue. I blame synchro failure on the oil I was using. If it fails using OE, then I'll concede.
You bought your car with a non-OE diff. Why is that, did it fail? Must have since your car topped out at 120mph before u figured it out. My buddy had a 97 M3 (the car I gave u parts off of), that thing ate a trans and a clutch when had it. All replaced under warranty, but still. Never drag raced, never tracked. Only driven on the street.
Get off that high horse, ish still fails on those cars. Not hatin. Just sayin.

says the guy who just sold his.
90 track days, but you say you only do 2 laps a shession cause of TT or 6-8 laps a day. sorry, but 90 track days doing only 8 laps a day ain't sheet. I do more laps in one weekend than you do in a whole season, son!
I don't remember pointing mhyar by at TB. Not that I drive fast in the rain anyways, its all about getting my slide on in the wet. I do remember getting around him in his s2k last time i was at main.
No hate here bra. Calling it like it is. All cars fail eventually at some point, yes, just that some fail more frequent than others. That is a fact, not hate. I've been down both roads and can clearly see the pros and cons of each platform, which is why I choose to TRACK a BMW.
My car had a non-oem diff becaues the whole rear end was swapped for an e36 non-m because R-title. Thats why I was topping out 5th gear at L before the stripe. If your buddy never raced his m3 and ate a trans and clutch that doesn't speak well for how he drove. Troof. Racers get 200k out of stock trans, not many cars, let alone an evo, can do that on the street let alone putting a stock trans in a race environment.
