2013 NorthEast Rally... Shenanigans from Maine to NJ!!

As most of you know, I love participating in road rallies/poker runs. YuppieRally, who has previously been known as B&L productions, is putting on another Northeast rally, recently announced another this year..

When: August 16-18, 2013
Where: Starts somewhere outside of the boston area, and goes all over the Northeast...
Who: Well I know I'm in, as is Skimobile, and quite a few others. You will see Subarus, audis, miatas, mustangs, who knows what else... So far there are already 10 teams signed up.
How Much: The price is $800/car, or $400/person depending on how you look at it..
Why: Why not!? Its a great event, it benefits charity, and these things are ALWAYS a blast...

Here's some pictures from the 2012 Northeast Rally to give you an idea of some of the cars you may see...

I know quite a few people will say wow this is expensive... But in reality, its not... Two nice hotel rooms are $300.. Then you will be provided some meals, other surprises along the way, and are making a nice donation to charity.. Its actually a great way to spend a weekend that I guarantee you will remember for the rest of your life.

To sign up, just take a look at:
http://www.yuppierally.com

Then click Register!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask... I'm not one of the organizers, but I am somebody with a lot of experience in these types of road rallies / poker runs that just wants to make this event the best it can possibly be...

I was JUST looking at this last night and thinking about signing up. It definitely looks like fun. Is it like a poker rally as well? Or just driving? I would definitely be interested in doing this!!

Yeah, this is a poker run. There are checkpoints throughout the weekend, and at the end of the weekend, whoever has the best power hand wins... And the prize is free entry into the following year's rally.

I think seeing an all girls evo team would kick ***... Maybe it would get my buddy off his *** to get our rally evo back on the road so he can bring that this year instead of his mini... I'll be in my miata with my wife...

Ahhh sweet deal. I always wanted to do a poker run but never had the car to do it and never heard about them until the last minute. I'm definitely going to try to register for this soon. How can you tell if they are close to the cutoff for cars?

I'll have a participant list to put up this weekend. The way the signups are going, i'm fairly confident it will fill up by late April early may. Typically cutoff is June 1 if its not full...

I GUARANTEE you will have the time of your life... As an FYI though... When we get to the hotels... Prepare your liver.

Are crossdressers allowed on the all girls team?

could octane, evochick, and myself be in one car?? the first post makes it seem like there are only two people per car allowed...

also, what is the charity that the money is donated to? Because I have a really good idea for one!

^ yea yea!! We saw that the rules last year said an additional person would be $300, but does that include a whole other hotel room, because if so can people just share?
