car wash!

My little girl is keeping me busy but the evo needs a decent wash/wax.

I'm open to ideas here -- just not willing to take it to those drive through washes that scratch the evo or pay a lot of money to a detail shop that would need a day or two (the evo is the family car). I live in northern NJ (bergen county) and work in somerset county (my commute is 80/287) so somewhere conveniently located along my commute would work too.

In short, I rather listen to fellow evo owners who know how to keep their car shiny. You never know who's writing the reviews yelp, and I've got no time to weed out the bs.

Just google a touchless car wash on your route.

Otherwise buck up and pay a mobile detailer to wash your car while you are at work. Have a work buddy grab you lunch or use their car and by the time you are clocking out of work...Your car is nice and detailed.

Not sure where on 80 you are starting your commute from but on rt 23 in Wayne there is a car wash called royal which has self service bays in the back. It's not to far off of 80 and that's what I usually do if I need a quick wash and don't have time to do it at home. If you're going to go, bring your own quarters, half the time the change machine doesn't work. Lol

If they are washing at my office, I presume they have to use some sort of a water-less wash system. I've not used them before, are they any good?

While we're at it, are there mobile detailers?

Are all touchless washes the same or are some better than others? Where might those better ones be?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm looking for somebody to wash it with me so I can play with my little girl

opti no rinse wash is fast and cheaper and safer than a car wash.
