Mitsubishi Dealers in MA

Sorry if this is frowned upon but I'm looking to get feedback from EVO owners on the North Shore of MA who had positive experiences with their Mitsu dealer. Can you recommend a dealer to me, I'm trading up the OZ for an EVO and don't feel like dealing with any *******s, thanks

I am on the north shore as well. Go see Ryan at Danvers Mitsubishi on 114. He is a cool guy who knows what he is talking about when it comes to Evos, and no hassles with test driving an Evo. Last time I was there they had quite a few Evos in various colors. Better hurry though I hear he is moving on to greener pastures soon. I have been speaking with him every so often b/c I am waiting for an RS and he told me he is getting out of the car business.

This thread will probably get moved to regional.

But FWIW, I'll toss in another vote for Herb Connolly in Natick. That dealer was a factor in my picking an EVO over an STi.

There are a lot of really really bad dealerships (and repair shops) in MA. Caveat emptor.

I got my evo from Danver Mits. It's nice to deal with Ryan (sales person). On a side note, beware on dealing with the finance manager.
I can't comment on the service dept since I haven't try it. I service my own car.

Thanks everyone for your input, I had a horrible experience at Danvers Mitsu but would at least entertain your friend Ryan. I will call and ask ofr him and mention your name, thanks again. I'll also check out Natick although it is a far drive for me and I would rather my car be serviced by the dealer i buy from but I'll definitely check thhem out.

What do you guys think is a good deal for an evo right about now? I'm thinking of a black evo with the power sunroof and spoiler, also want the gauges and if they have a color match instrument cluster surround I'd like that as well.

thanks!!!

Hey! No copying. Aside from the cluster surround, that's what I got from Connolly in Natick -- black, s/r, wing, "sport gauge kit".

Back in July, I paid sticker. But I had to wait for it to arrive. Your best deal will probably be on whatever they have sitting on the lot ... But beware of "demo" cars. (Check the odo.)

Stay away from Concord with that package. I got pulled over, last night, for doing 20 in a 30 zone, because the cop thought I looked "too fast". (sheesh) No ticket, so the cop wondered why I was annoyed with him. (The stupid part is that they've never pulled that on the Ferrari.)

I smell "profiling". Just once I'd like to see those guys pull over one of the dozens of people who wander across the double yellow line at me, or who tailgate me along the straights, or who don't look before leaving a stop sign ...

Do not want one that has sat on the lot!! How long did you have to wait for your car to arrive?

I'll keep Herb Connolly in mind when I'm shopping for an Evo.

About two weeks, back in July. (They already knew they were scheduled to get a black one.) It took them a few days to do prep and install the gauge kit. (Installation was pretty steep, at $900.)

I don't know how many new ones will be coming in, now, until the 04s ship. Having a car sit on the lot (or in the showroom) isn't entirely bad, provided it wasn't the one thrashed on test drives. Connolly wasn't allowing test drives in July. I don't know if that's changed, now. (I got my test drive on the "Automile", when I was about to walk out on the dealer after getting jerked around on availabilty, colors, options, etc.)

I bought from HC, but I've been doing the basic service (tires, oil) at Casa del Shoehorn in Hudson, MA: I have a low-rise lift stuffed in my garage.

For dealer invoice, you'll probably need to find a dealer who really needs to move the car.
And MA tends to be a seller's market. (Nail two things together, and some schebb will buy it from you.)

boch Mitsubishi on the automile in Norwood. I bought mine there for MSRP in July, but since then they have really been marked down. The staff there is really cool. They understand the evo and won't give you BS about mods or driving the car hard.

Several other people on this board have also had positive experiences with Boch.

i bought mine from Peter Fuller of Watertown. paid invoice for mine in July, but then again 3 other guys including me bought it at the same time. After saying that, i don't recommend going there. salesmen don't do anything for you after they know you bought the car. service department, however, is pretty good.

about the one on 114 in Danver, they have a lot of Evos there but they all have been driven. my buddy went there and i think 5 of them had at least 200 miles on it. i can't see how they would let people test drive all 5 of them. why not just one, i mean, don't all the colors drive the same?
