Talking STPR Rally in Pennsylvania

Anyone Plan on attending the STPR Rally event in Wellsboro Pennsylvania? Its on June 5th-6th. More info can be found here: http://www.stpr.org/ I have attended for the past 4 years and it is an outstanding event! Nothing beats seeing cars blazing down trails at 90+mph through the woods! The drivers have some great control over these cars. This is an amazing event and urge anyone even remotely close to attend. You won't be disappointed! You'll even get to see the cars close up and see the drivers and crew etc. at "The green" around 2:30 or so in downtown Wellsboro. There are several campsites in the area that we usually stay at, they can be found on the STPR website. Motels in the area are probably booked solid though. Maybe we can put together a meet and greet Friday night somewhere. See you there!

I'll be there with my Subie buddies (Father-in-law owns wrx, friend owns legacy turbo). We go every year. It's incredible. I wonder how it will be this year without the factory teams though. They are the wicked fast cars. I am going to miss seeing guys such as David Higgins etc. Maybe I will see you there.

Saw you at STPR

Smackdaddy,

I think I saw you and your STI buddy at STPR. We were grabbing a bite to eat at Twin Pine Tavern before going to Colton Point for stage 5. There was a Black EVO 8 being followed by a silver STI. Was that STI stock. When you both got on it in that straightaway, he was catching you fast. I had a good time despite the rain. Overall, fewer spectators this year, which was good for viewing the race.

Yep, that was me. I was the only black EVO there. I gotta let that STI catch up now and then otherwise he would get lost. hahaha. All it has is a full 3" exhaust. I smoke him on a regular basis. Were you with another silver evo as well? I saw 2 silvers parked next to each other at one of the stages.

Here's a good STPR story for ya. At the end of the Painteer's Leetonia night stage we were packing up getting ready to head back to camp for the night and I heard an evo pulling up behind me. Turned around and it was car #914 Nash/Fries in their EVO VI Open class car. Co-driver says to me, Hey, can we borrow yer spare? ( In thier Irish accent) I told them sure no problem just pull off up aheasd and we'll through it on. So We slapped my spare onto their car, and away we went. They had me follow them to the Germania pit area where they gave me my spare back and mounted up a fresh tire/wheel from their supply. Both the driver and co-driver were very friendly and we got to BS with them for a good hour or so at the pit area. I now have an official rally tested spare tire!

Smackdaddy,

No I wasn't with another EVO. I actually left my baby at home when I found out we were getting over an inch of rain (after seeing how cruddy my father-in-law's WRX was after last year). I was in my wife's honda CRV and with my friend who had a white legacy turbo. I hope you got an autograph of Nash / Fries at least. Overall, it was a fun time. A little cold and damp. I am thinking about attending the next meet in York, PA. Maybe I'll see you there.

Can't wait for the rally! I remember seeing your car there last year. Seemed like the only evo i saw. Seemed like it was a subie festival. Altho i used to be a subie driver. Im sure glad i brought my truck tho instead of the evo after all that rain. Boy was it muddy. i felt bad for all those nice cars just caked in the clay, mud mixture. Hopefully its nicer this year. Hope to see you there
