Ya know, rims can make a car look totally amazing...thats an expensive upgrade though since your options are rims=a lot of money...Exhasut=reasonable, and lowering also reasonable...unless you got cash ya might wanna go with some lowering....but thats my opinion ;o)

I agree, rims/tires are one of the most expensive mods for a car, if you already have an intake I'd go with exhaust, although progressive springs do make a nice look for even a stock car.. I guess it's just a personal decision, but I'd go with intake/exhaust. Try to get that little 1-2 hp gain, WOOPEEE

If you go custom exhaust, that would be cheaper. I would also go with exhaust/ intake.

go with the exhaust if you want a few more horsepower, plus its the chaper of things. Go for springs and rims if appearance is what you like.

My opinon, I would shoot for the more expensive things first, just to get them over and done with. That way its easier to obtain the money for the smaller cheaper things. But if its sound and performance you want first, go with the intake.

Most important question of all. Which are you gonna go for first, show or go?

If you want performance, get an intake first.

id say go with the rims/tires. A lancer with rims and tires, looks better than a stock lancer with an exaust. but thats just me. If we were talking honda. id say the other way around :

Get those ugly stock rims and tires off and slap some 205/40/17 sport 9000 dunlop tires and of course the 17's. It makes the car look so much better.

I agree with gettin the most expensive things over with first...Cuz you know once you spend a lot of money on all the little things, and then ya gotta move out and payments start hittin ya hard, you wont ever get that chance again to go all out and set yourself up with some rims...which like I said before, Rims and some springs can seriously make a car

It depends on what you are going for..power vs looks....rims being the most expensive? NO WAY. Obviously the folks stating this havent really started upping the horses. If you are looking for power start with the obvious....Intake and exhaust systems (always work your ways towards the engine from both side) This in itself is more expensive than rims. Remember the intake sytem is more than just a filter or CAI and the exhaust side doesnt just mean a muffler or cat-back. These parts add up when you include stuff like cats, headers, throttle bady and what not. If you want to just concentrate on looks I would go for lowering the car first...putting on a larger diameter rim exagerates the wheel well gap even more and gives the car a sorta "lifted look". If you have the cash to throw down or can get financed you can have a place like Les Schwab do both for you at the same time...it's your call man.
