Drags @ Pacific Raceways 5/4
Yeah it was a good day. I was afraid for rain, but turned out to be sunny and warm. Glad to see everyone at the track. Fun times. Actually started out ****ty, with crappy launches, and running 12.9s, but it got better! Best run - 12.57 @ 108 mph on 92 octane (haha yes Jason, Eric ran the MR for that run). Most of my runs were around 12.6 @ 109 tho. Anyhoo good day indeed!
Oh and Jason, you are launching like a champ now

Okay, I'm done being pissed at myself and my car so I can post now. I did have a great time, going to the track is always fun. The fact that I couldn't get better than a 13.293 with a trap of 106 tells me that either I'm doing something wrong, or the car isn't tuned right. 1.97 60' time. This is on the stock clutch with 92 octane, I expected better.
I'm disappointed in myself as I'm an ex street racer, used to go out every weekend, and with my RWD cars I could always launch like a bat out of hell and keep the power coming through all the shifts.
Knowing that others were running aftermarket clutches and/or 100 octane makes me feel a little better, but I'm already planning on a couple more mods before my next trip. I have the O2 housing to put on now, and will probably be getting the Helix full pipe kit, and for another $125 I might get the Vishnu cat delete pipe....we'll see.
Anyhow, it was a fun time and I enjoyed hanging with those folks I did get to see while I was there.

Sam,
With that trap speed you should be able to hit a 12.9-12.8. But your 60' time needs to be around 1.7x. I'm sure with your stock clutch it'll be a bit hard. I ran a 12.9 out in eastern Wash last year with a 106mph on my 2g DSM. I usually end up launching (AWD) around 5-5500rpm, however, that is with a ACT 2600.
Upgrade the clutch and you'll be able to launch at that rpm...good luck and maybe see you at the track.
