NW Introductions?
I was thinking something along the lines of making use of the card idea that me and Ryan were tossing around. What I'd like to do is use it as a VIP pass at all our sponsors, since not all of us will be regulars at all the shops.
Kris, do you wanna help come up with that sponsorship agreement? It can only help with getting more things lined up with other places. This way we can have a prospectus of sorts to present to the shops, and they can just give us a yes or no answer. That, and we can have SET prices on parts/services.
And if we get numbers, I want 13.

and also, I think maybe we should have 2 leaders...one from oregon and one from Washington cuz there are always gonna be meets where the Oregonians cant make it or we cant make it down, but there should always be someone...
Jon- unfortunately we don't get to set the terms of the sponsorship (unless GroundZero wants us to- that'd be SWEET!). From the few I've looked at they read something like:
We SpeedShop (SS) agree to sponsor RacerBoy (RB) with the following conditions:
SS will provide a % disc on X part and %disc on labor. We reserve the right to revoke said part at any time. RB can maintain control of said part if they agree to pay the difference between the price they paid with the retail price. RB agrees to enter thier vehicle in X number of exhibitions.
In Steve's case, he may be required to win a certain %age of dragraces in order to keep his sonsorship and if it's lost he might have to pay for any parts that are in "re-saleable" condition. Whether the part is resaleable is of course left to the sponsor's discretion.
At any rate, sponsorship is potentially a very cool thing, and at the same time if you **** the wrong person off at the right time you can get screwed big time.

Chameleon- Even if we don't have sequential numbers, we should have some sort of member count. That way if a sponsor wants more than 6 to start, we can say "We have 12" or if a sponsor wants to sponsor less than, say, 8 we can eith look elsewhere or the interested can vie for it. Having member numbers is cool, too
Kris - Didn't mean to imply that we set the terms of sponsorship.
I was thinking of setting parameters that we as a club can all agree upon, in the event that someone does want to get official.
Here's some basic things I think we need to all get on the same page about:
*Is everyone cool with doing auto shows?
**If so, how many or how few?
*Is everyone willing to put sponsorship decals on their car?
**Again, how many? Where? Size?
I'm in the process of getting a TLNW membership form done. It'll outline what we expect of other members, a member directory, sponsor info and any other relevant info for the club, and any other suggestions y'all come up with.

And Heather, you brought up a very good point. Should we divide the group in regions and have a head for both? In that case, I could be the one for the southern group and we can decide on someone for the northern group.
I think we should, cuz seriously, not everyone can make it down to Oregon meets and not all the time will you boys be able to make it up to Washington. We will still be one team, but I think every region should have a leader.
yeah that would be a good idea, and what is going on with the sponsor thing, i havent really heard anything else since meeting with speedzone so, if anything ill get ahold of ryan and them up here
Phat. Maybe 2 weeks tops for the next big gtg. I'm gonna get a hold of both Ground Zero and Hyperrev this week, possibly tomorrow even, and see who wants to get on the ball.
