Cenex all the way baby! When I talked with them about how they get their 94 oct, they say that it's usually never 94, it's usually 96 oct. However, since it's not always 96 it sometimes drops to around 95. So they just say it's 94.
Same thing with their 89 oct...it's usually 92, but sometimes it drops to 91.
They don't sell 87.

Bad gas sux! I was a victim of one yesterday. I knew I shouldn't gotten gas after seeing a fuel truck leaving the station. I knew in my head that it probably kick up dirt/water and other junk from the bottom of the tank but since I needed gas I got it right away.

Yesterday was the first time I experienced *denotation* and it was quite severe as I was putting load on the engine in low speed ~60 mph 4th gear. I let off the gas right away... I have no way to prove 100% that it was the gas but I'm 95% sure that it was because I never had that happen in the 2 years I've own the car.

I can't seem to find anything more than 92 octane in OR/WA. Are there gas stations that sells 93/94?

That really does suck. I was paranoid about my car when I heard this on the news. I wanted to take it in just to make sure but so far, no problems. At least I don't think I should since most of the gas we get is from Shell and sometimes Chevron.

Nice catch on the ariticle. This is going on in my back yard and I didn't even know about it. I filled up my Motorcycle at 76 in Bellingham before the weekend. I'll have to pay close attention for any ill effects.

No laughs here on the the Costco gas, I use Fred Meyer Gas in the Evo and have never had a bad tank. cross the fingers.

Hey guys, if you take your cars to the dealership, they are doing fuel cleaning for anyone who has been experiencing problems from bad gas. Conocco did a recall on the gas and it's all been dispposed of. Mountain Mitsubishi is one of the dealers taking care of this. I believe it is free and Conocco is paying the dealer to take care of it, but i'm not 100% sure of this. I will check with the dealership on Tues and reply again. Good Luck!
