Talking Vegas Trip

Just trying to get a feel of who would be interested in this? Planning for Mid June departure. I brought the idea up to Vegasboy and he is totally down with this idea. I figure this is far enough out to plan for. I should be back by late January maybe earlier. I think it would be sweet if the Northwest represented in Vegas!!!!!!

People Seriously Interested:

1. haze1995
2. EVSEVO8
3. Boricua Evo
4. hanahawaiian
5. Will Forbes
6. Voidhawk
7. MeKilla
8. SeanJhn9
9. outlaws69
10. sandm
11. RKT SHP

Some ideas that are being kicked around:

i have a freind that lives there and he is always harrasing me to go. if we did though, we should make the SEMA show, as i have always wanted to go to that. i am almost positive that it is a 15 + hour drive from portland. and in january that would include some pretty scary streches of road. flying would be a better, but less fun option.

Ryan,

I'd consider this. But do you want to go in winter?? Jo and I did this in the '03 and rock chipped the hell out of our car in the passes because of all the sand and rocks being laid down. It was a freakin rally!! and not a drive ;-)

If I remember correctly, we stayed at the Stratosphere for $24 a night. Nice rooms! Would we be having some big event??

-Dave-
You can go, I said so ;-)....just save your pennies and take some R&R dude!! ;-)

Joey

Lets shoot for around May timeframe then. Any thoughts are welcome. I was also thinking about taking hwy 101 down into Cali and cutting over from there.

takes us around 9 hrs from vegas to boise. it is an awesome drive except wells to jackpot.
there are some great spots from wells to vegas that you can do around 90-100. no cops around and with a great handling car, is a dream. we usually average around 75mph. speed is 70 most of the way...
all the towns between jackpot and vegas are speedtraps though. goes from 70-25 in about 200 feet.
it is the highway that they close for the silver state classic.
