The Oregon Region SCCA is having their last 2 autocross events October 8th and 9th at the PIR infield. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. I've been hooked for 6 years. You don't need anything special. Just pump up your tires and remove everything loose from your car. They have rental helmets, but bring yours if you have one. I'll be there all day, both days if anyone needs to be shown the ropes.
If you have questions, lets hear them!

So is this the type of driving where you drive around the grass through marked cones? I think I might have to do this. How fast do you usually get going on this type of racing?

well let me know if you are gonna do it and that way we can all go,

No driving on the grass. It's on the pro pits pavement. The fastest I've gone on that lot is 2nd gear on the rev limitter.Originally Posted by J Dog

If anyone wants to run in their proper class, let me know what mods you have and I can tell you what class you are in and what time that class runs(morning or afternoon).
If you don't care about points or class, you can come for the morning and/or afternoon sessions and run "time only".

You can run in the STU (Street Touring Ultra) class assuming you are running on street tires. It runs in the afternoon session.Originally Posted by Mivo

i just did my second with a local car club, i had a blast too. i would love to make it, but i need to work. if you are interested, i would definately tell you to do it. so much fun. it is also a HUGE help to have other people around in evos, to talk with each other about the course, and the best ways to approach it. i wasnt to thrilled about the first one, but this second one was a blast. good luck guys, i would love to be there.
OK guys. The events are this Saturday and Sunday. How about a roll call?
