Hey Guys, im looking to get a few things ported has anyone got stuff ported from someone up here? I am looking to do the exhaust mani, the intake mani and the throttle body. How hard is it to get that stuff off? The intake looks like a PITA
Josh your such a little girl lol.. jk. Honestly I personally don't think you should mess with the intake manifold. I can see benefits from the tb and exhaust manifold, but the manifold just seems like a PIA. But hey it's your car hehe.
I'm just bored with it in the winter because there is nothing major to upgrade. Most of the stuff I'm changing is to make it cleaner under the Hood but have no power gains. That's y I need to do something productive lol. So no on the intake, I need a new exhaust Mani anyways mine sucks.

As far as not getting gains from porting the stock intake..... MAPerformance claims this ......
Our first test car was a stock turbo'd '06 Evo on an aggressive 93 pump tune. initial testing shows +36tq and +27hp at 4000rpm and still had gains up until 6000rpm where our test car started to see knock and the curve matched the stock manifold from there out. Expect more results from bigger turbos, and more revs as this manifold will help you breathe above 7500rpm. More testing will be shown once it becomes available.
I was told by a guy I know who builds drag cars that he would never get machine work done locally if he could help it, he has this opinion because he's had work done in town before and always regretted it.
When I swap turbos I'll get the stock ex mani ported and if funds allow probably the intake and TB as well.
Most of the work I've seen is port matching and cleaning up the castings. Not to hard to do it yourself if you so choose.
After pulling a motor the intake manifold wouldn't be too bad. LOL I guess its all relative.

I hear you Josh I was just giving you crap lol. Honestly for the price of sending out your manifold to maperformance or any other vendor you might was well save more cash and get one of these bad boys. http://magnusmotorsports.com/product...ntake-manifold They claim up to 50whp on a dyno non-stock turbo cars.

LOL I know of a lot of other goodies, don't get me started.
Now if it was a IX I would say keep it

What makes you think its sticking? no more psh psh on shift? The valves are pretty simple so if it truly is sticking a little disassembly and cleaning would probably fix it.
You talking stock or aftermarket?
