Get a good quality battery. My lead cell ETS battery died within a year. The mount however works fine. I went with an Odyssey battery to replace it.

I think I wanna do the PC680 that seems to be one of the better choices. My current battery has terrible cca and won't make it through.

nope i drive the grey GSR.. I've seen the white one on the Elmendorf side. Also just had a new kid buy a 08(i think) MR same color as mine. So now there's a kid in the same company as me with basically the same car.

Does anyone ever meet up in Anchorage to hang out or anything?

Good luck. Cracked mine 4 years ago...still no luck of a replacement unless you want to finance shipping for one...

I'd sell my EB one if I had the money for a JDM one.

Hey guys, I've been browsing through these threads for awhile now so I figured I'd finally post something. I've seen a few of you mention the White X that you've seen driving on the Elmendorf side of base. Well that's me! I haven't been in Alaska that long though. I know I've seen some of you driving around.

My first question for those of you that have been through the winters here, is what kind of tires are you running? I've done alot of research lately and read alot of the other forums but not every state allows studs like here. I've heard alot about Blizzaks and I've heard that studs will always be king.

Hoping you guys can share what you've experienced or what you think is best.

I ran blizzaks last year on my 3000gt vr4 and they were amazing! Absolutely loved them, this year I bought a set for the Evo so it should be a fun winter.
