Does anybody know of a shop in Portland that has a good selection of SA2000 or 2005 helmets to try on?

You can go to any motorcycle shop in the Portland Metro area and try on helmets, most are snell approved. I got my helmets from Beaverton Honda Yamaha motorycle off Hwy 217 in Tigard. Granted when I got them they were for my motorcycle but they work great for Track events as well.
