I just got pulled over for my headlights...LMAO.... he said "you know why I pulled you over"... I said no..
You k now how it is when you get pulled over... You start running through everything you just did... I start thinking... hmm*im wearing my seatbelt, im not speeding-especially on base, i used my turn signal, all my stuff works...

Him: Your headlights are blue
Me: No there not... they are white... actually the name of the light is arctic white
Him: There BLUE!... Let me see your information (minus insurance info cuz im a dumb@$$ and lost it)
Me: *after he comes back* "sir here is the box that they came in... I asked the guy at the shop if they were street legal and he said yeah as long as they aren't blue or red"..
Him: He took the box and said well I will have to let you go on that one... But since i got you here your registration is expired as of yesterday, but you have till the end of month for that and since you don't have proof of insurance I am going to write you a citation for that instead.."
Me: okay thats cool... its your job... i will have proof about 15 minutes after I leave here.
Him: you can get proof that fast...??
Me: Yeah I have insurance ... im not lieing to you I do have insurance... and my broker is 5 min down the road.
Him: okay here is your ticket*he explains everything*... Merry Christmas

Talk about just looking for an excuse to pull someone over... I have had the same lights for the last 9 months... and been pulled over about 3 times before for dumb stuff... but never once was ever told anything about my lights

 

i got pulled over for the same thing, my lights wern't blue either. my grandpa is a retired CMSgt, he was an MP for a long time and then retired from the air force and worked for tacoma police for like 20 years. anyways, he went there and raised ****ing hell over it, it was so ******* hillarious. everyone knows him, and i ended up getting the ticket dropped pretty ****ing quick.

 

I can see them getting picky about what they pull people over for. I mean the base is only so big.

 

I just thought it was funny how he dropped the lights subject... and quickly started looking for other stuff to get me for...

I never really seen to many people pulled over for stuff anymore... Probably just PCS'ed from another base with stricter laws...

Your right Haze... McChord is only so small.. nothing like how freaking huge Fort Lewis is...

 

iT IS FUNNY HOW HE QUICKLY CHANGED THE INFRACTION ONCE HE WAS PROVEN WRONG.
WHEN YOU SIT AROUND GUARDING A GATE ALL DAY, ANYTHING IS A WELCOME CHANGE FROM THE NORM!!!!!!!

 

I had an 82 Oldsmobile, and a Seatac cop pulled me over for a "supposed" faulty license plate light. He was shining the flashlight IN MY FACE! He then told me to turn my lights on again. I did, and he came back saying that my light wasn't out, but it was going out. I think he was just profiling me....my car probably.

 

I actually had a sheriff off pull me over right in front of the gas night right outside the front gate of mcchord one night when i had my other lancer... and he said that my turn signals were clear. I said " no there not" he goes to the front of my car and pointed left and right... for my signals... he said "oh well I must have just been seeing things" and then taps on my window and says your tint is ALMOST too dark...

Well since my lights were legal to begin with and my tint was only ALMOST too dark I just ignored it and drove off after he said "have a good night"... He must have been tired and needed something to do...
