LOL. If you take all the expenses for a month it comes to be over $1000. Just hire someone part time to drive you around . You.ll look cool!!!

When i first got my 02 Lancer back in 03... I was 19 paying $380 a month... with a completely clean record on a 4 dr 4cyl ... since then i have had 3 speeding tickets one is a 101 in a 60... negligent driving. and my insurance has gone DOWN. My insurance is like 260/month for my ralliart... I am sure it would be lower had it not been for my 3 tickets but still the fact that 3 years and 3 tickets later (yeah i have averaged about one a year.. not bragging at all) it has gone down almost $120... when i turned 21 it went down... Get this $1!!!

But back on topic... If your comfortable now... then stick with the lancer pay it off... mod it with little stuff here and there... if you have the cash then sure turbo it but just be careful because i haven't come across too many insurance companies that cover mods unless you pay extra for that extra coverage and then when you pay it off or get close to where your not in neg equity status... maybe your not now i don't know but then trade it in with your pos equity and part it out so you can start modding your new ride with the money you get from your prev. mods... there is almost always going to be someone that needs those parts or there is Ebay... Plus that year lancer has alot of options for it. DO NOT GIVE THE DEALER YOUR MODS when you trade it in.. unless you know for sure they are going to give you more for what you have done to the car...

Just my $.02...

lol

i still owe like 9.5k on my lancer, i think i should take the 4-5k i would spend on a turbo and help pay my car off, then pay the loan off sooner than the agrement so it helps my credit and maybe i can get a better intrest rate on an evo..

my intrest rate on the lancer is 10.5% because i have really bad credit

I pay $1300 a year for full coverage on my evo, my wifes murano and liability only on my 78 ford f-150. works out to 550/year for the evo/murano and 200 for the ford. don't remember the exact totals, but the murano/evo are split evenly and the ford is around 200. progressive insurance. 1 ticket/1 comprehensive claim in the last 3 years.

Recommendation is to save your $$ and go w/ your intinct of paying off your car now then buy a faster car later. Or go with NOS ... ??

I'm pretty sure regular lancers can't handle the nos, the engine's too weak.

I'm considering a turbo as well, but it's gonna be a hassle and I really don't want to spend more than 3k for one.
