Lol, I'll probably be looking for a 4 point harness here soon. I know the 5 point is much safer but the 4 point would only be used for Auto X events. I need something to hold me in during those events. I'm tired of leaving face prints on my driver side window...

Talking

I dunno about the show thing this year????? My front end has gotten so beat up over the past year that I may just stick to auto cross, and drag racing. Did a few shows last year, and to me,,,, unless you have 20 screens in your car, and a $20,000 paint job, your just wasting your time. Just me though.

Most of those harnesses are horrible for safety actually. With a fixed shoulder belt and no 5th point to hold down your lap belt the belt will move up in an impact. That mean all the force goes through your abdomen (sp?) and internal organs, at best you'll just get some internal bleeding.
If you put in a 5/6pt harness and roll the car you can't slide down if the roof crushes, that means your head supports the whole car, definetly not good. 5/6pt belts should only be used in cars with real cages IMHO.
The only harness I've seen that is a good setup for those of us without cages that is actually safe is the schroth auto control.

That's why I would just use it for Auto X. If I hit something in these wide open courses then I have some serious issues same goes if I roll it. No submarining for me...basically your head acting as the roll cage.
