I do...thanks for the schedule. I've only ran on the north paddock at PIR and I wasn't a fan of that one because there is a hump in one section of that paddock and depending how the course is set up it can run pretty close to the barrier by the track. How's the south paddock at PIR?
i like the south one beter, dont have to cross the track and there isnt an off axis left... but there is 1 storm drain that can pose a bump, but they are good about going around it
we are having a good one on the 19th this much with a local club trying to get a bigger span of vehicles to show up. it is at an old truckyard in nasselle, that we have used before. it is a great area, and the last course we ran there was rather quick in a few sections. great group to run with, and a more kicked back relaxed enviornment then other events i have been to. the website is www.nwautosports.org . good people.

What is the difference between north and south Paddock?
Is it that they only use a part of the track?
How the modifications of our car changes it to category?
Is the stock class allowed to have any mods at all?

Hey guys. I'm on the Oregon Region SCCA committee. I'll be at all of the Oregon Region Events as chief of timing barring any unforeseen set backs at work or what not.
The north paddock is the area next to the hot pits that are used for American Lemans and all of the big events. If you are driving down the beginning of the front straight it is on your right. The north paddock is bigger and smoother than the south paddock. I prefer the north paddock over the south. The course is setup to have a minimum distance from immovable objects such as the cement barrier. My guess is that we will probably be running a little more than the minimum distance this year because of last year's.....ahem.....incident. I don't see the wall being a problem.
The south paddock is a little smaller and a little rougher. It is on your right hand side after you enter the main gates and before you take the right hand turn.
Neither of these sites use any part of the track. We often share the whole facility with another club that is running the track.
Here are the rules for car classing:
2006 Solo 2 Rules
Stock Class (A Stock for Evos) allows the following mods:
-front sway bar
-struts provided the housings are the same geometry as stock(no springs)
-any size DOT autocross tire(Kumho V710, Hoosier A3S05)
-brake pads and steel braided lines
-cat back exhaust
-replacement air filter element
-performance alignment
-wheels provided they are the same size as stock and within +-.25" offset(I think)
check the rule book for the details
I'll be running A Stock this year. My goal is to max my car out according to the A Stock rules.
