Tread wear of 200. I'd hardly call those R compounds. Hell the stock Advans on the Evos are 160s (I think the stock STI tyres are 140s). My Goodyear GSCSs that I ran on my T1 car were 20s.

Im confused i hope your saying inches wide, because I dont see a 235/45/17 being 5inches shorter then a 245/40/17.

a stack of 4 kuhmo 235`s is 5 inches shorter than a stack of 4 rt615`s

on your first post the clearance between the wheel and brake looks slim...i know its perception but it looked pretty tight in there.

i thought about RT's but neova's for me since i live in an aquarium.

Awsome tires, I had them for 1/2 year. Wear same as Advans A046. Advans hav a little more traction and even stiffer sidewall, also better wet traction than these.
615s are the best for 18Inch rims though.

(The way I tested traction is on the curve of 26 going to 217, with Advans I would go like 2-3 mph faster)

yes on the awsome tire side, treadwear are different, stock advance a046 are 160, RT 615 is 200

i drive the **** out of car eveyday, i have gone through Michelin PS, great tires too. Falken i like a lot better. on any tire when it come to traction, you have to give something. if you want max dry traction than you're going to give up a little of wet traction or vice versa. So far i have no problem with the RT 615. Would i buy them again?? hell yeah

What does driving have to do with hydroplaning? You out-drive physics I suppose.

The 255 width RT-615's hydroplane in any standing water at speeds above 50mph. I don't care what their little user-defined rating is.

But if you still think I can't drive, you're welcome to come show me how it's done. You can find me out at Deal's Gap 3-4 days a week and I've been through 4 sets of RT-615s since I bought the car last June.

i believe you, maybe if you stay on the road instead off the road you wouldn't be going through tires that. Also i used to station there in NC, i would never go back there again.

Maybe if you got out and drove instead of trolling on forums, you could go through tires like that.

Ah yes, "The Tail of the Dragon". An awsome road I've heard(and seen on the interweb). but its a bit of a commute from the Pacific Northwest.

that road has nothing on the NW... it is an outlet for people in the south to use, cause all of there roads are straight and flat.

it is a nice road, but the hype it gets is way over rated.


26>217 is a great place to test the limits. a higher speed corner is 14>205 N or S

are you talking about the tread wall? or my brakes?


the brakes i have now will not be on there much longer... going for the biggest BBK you can have with 18`s. 380mm progressive 6 piston calipers.... HUGE
