Germantown Rd in Portland Area is amazing, rocky point rd, skyline drive. All good corner roads. I wouldnt test much cornering limits on a major interstate such as 26 or 217.

Yet for some reason, people who have actually BEEN here, just keep coming right back...even from the far reaches of the country and other countries. Hardly anyone who has actually BEEN here says it's over rated.

Man what is with all of the hating...is it a NW thing or what?

But yeah, all of our surrouding roads suck too.

and there are some great meets there, like 200+ cars. that is why it is over rated

I love Rocky Point & Skyline. It helps to have a loud exhaust so the flat bellies can hear ya coming and make sure they're out of the way .

Once in a while I see someone who tested the limits there and found themselves over the line... .

Thanks! Up on the Cherohala Skyway, where that shot from way up high was taken, the altitude is 5300 feet, so it's usually quite cool or cold up there. (over a mile high) But yeah, it can get warm in the summer. Not as bad as the places closer to the ocean/coast though. (Damn VIR in July is the craziest heat/humidity I have ever encountered)

I'm running JIC FLT-A2 coilovers (mods listed in my registry, which is in my sig ) but I'm planning to switch to some electronically adjustable coilovers this year. The Gap is so smooth, but my drive back home is not so smooth, so I'd like to be able to easily switch between soft and hard settings quickly.

Thanks Dream! I don't think the 615s are availabe in stock size yet, but they are still adding sizes. On a side note, Vulcan Tires (.com) has the 255/40/17 RT-615s in stock for $126 each. Not bad! I've done a lot of business with them and had no problems.

RT615`s 235`s vs the 245`s
...
the 235`s rt 615`s vs the 235`s kuhmo allseasons
...
kuhmo`s are 37&1/2 inches tall
...
the RT615`s are 42 inches tall
...
ok, i just noticed this thread.

help me out here, will ya? exactly what size are all the tires compared above?

i thought the 235 width 615's weren't out yet...? the 235/45/17's at least...

a ~1.25" difference per tire makes sense if comparing 245's to 235's. not really otherwise.

235x40x18 and 245x40x18

cant run 17`s because of my up-graded brakes *soon*

the 245 RT615`s are 1.25 inches wider per tire compared to the 235 kuhmo all seasons

Yeah that's what I'm leaning toward, although there are some new units coming out that I may consider also.
