Guess what?!?
So, as I am sure most of you are aware, I have been unemployed since Jan 1.... Well, I have been going on several interviews, talking to different agents from different insurance carriers and really haven't been interested in what they have to offer for me.
I would go and see my old boss and go over the interviews with him, what he thought of the agent's I was talking to, etc. I also would go and use my friend's fax and copier (an agent close to my house, whom I've known for about 4 years and who was best friends with the other agent I worked with) and bs with him and all.
Well, one day (about a little over a month and a half ago), he said to me that he wants me to keep my options open and he might be hiring in the near future. So, we got together and discussed pay and all of that a couple of days later (way better than what the other agent payed me and what others were offereing to pay). Then he was trying to figure out how to get me to work there because he knows I know what I am doing and that I am a good asset to have in the office... So, he put one of his employees on a 30-day probation and we have been having meetings every week to touch base and all.
Well, I guess that all I can say is last night, I was offered the position for that Allstate agent and I start on April 3rd!!! Just thought I would share this with everyone because I am excited....
