Gas mileage

With gas prices going up everyday I decided to do a little test.
With my boost set to 21 psi I was getting about 180 miles to the tank.
Turned it down to 11 psi and got 330 miles to the tank.
Although its not as peppy in 11 as 21, the ability to control when I want to turn it up is worth it. Plus I can go further. LOL

Your gas milage is not too bad. I get about that 180-200 a tank all city drive. About 250-270 on the highway. I am running a little more boost as well. 21psi @180/tank is about right.

I don't kow about tuning down. does that $10 you save worth tuning down? just don't get on boost as I do most city driving.

I get about 220 miles to the tank in the city and 320 miles to the tank on the freeway. Also, adjusting your boost won't due anything for gas mileage. Just keep your foot out of the gas and you'll get even better mileage.

Right there with ya bud, I was getting around 165 miles per tank last time I drove. Not as bad as 65 miles per tank though on the track

Wow, I probably have one of the rare "stock" Evo IX's, mine only has an HPF lower pipe, and I can't seem to keep myself out of boost, but in a tank I average half city/ half freeway and I got 275 on 13.7 gallons. Thats what I had last night when I refilled it, and my buddy was here with his VIII this weekend.

The stock WGA should be 14-15 psi spring. 10-11psi was on a 2g stock WGA.
