I never really was interested in the big corporate club meets as it seem to get detract of what a meet is all about, to have fun and meet people. If you guys have another local get together, I'll try my best to attend. My days off are fridays and sundays.

NWE is cool...I met a lot of other owners I probably won't have met otherwise. Its a cool way for owners to hang out with other owners in the same area. We have done some cool things like the toy run and stuff like that and I think we should continue with stuff like that...like what someone said at the last big meeting down in Lakewood....this isn't highschool so you're never going to get everyone to come out to everything and grill them when they don't (heck if NWE started doing that I would be first out the door...thats cult-like behaviour ) I don't think thats the way you would want NWE to go either.

I say just keep it how it is...those who want decals can help to put up the $$...the same with the shirts and the hats etc...and the $25 fee seems fair...I think most people agreed with it at the Lakewood meeting. I don't think we need to over extend the club to be what its not...lets just leave it as a group of people with the same car who occasionally hang out with each other...just my 20cents .

Might be a matter of expectations - likely not everybody who joined NWE is on the same page as to what they want to get out of it. Some people seem to be fine with just having a meet every once in a while and hang out, others want to be more active and get more serious driving events going.

Honestly, I'm ok with it either which way, I enjoy hanging out with you guys, and if I need to scratch the itch outside of that I just head out solo. Maybe we need to lay out some specific goals for the club, and then it will be easier to focus on what needs doing? In any event, you always have a core of more active peeps and others that kind of cruise along - happens in any group organization.

This is where I am comming from. I know one of the lessor reasons why I haven't joined up yet is because generaly everything seems to be somewhat of a social event, which isn't neccesarily apealing to me because I don't personaly know a single one of you.

NOW, if there were more driving / racing events, i would more likely show up and do that whole thing. It would be awesome to have a bunch of fellow Evo enthusiests at the track, etc.

Location has been a big problem for me also, a lot of what NWE does is hours of driving for me.

Not much choice in location for activities, since we have to go where the driving is. The last auto-x was in Bremerton, and any kind of racing (drag/track) is going to be at PR in Auburn. If you are as much into driving as you say, you shouldn't mind driving a bit to get to the event .

i personally have been seeing this kind of develop over a period of time(i am one of the original guys when this club first started) and i remember how it was when it first started. i remember one drive that we done and there was no less than 10-15 evo's. and everyone had a good time. now it seems as if all the events only a few evos show up. I am all the way in arizona and i can see it happening. i think it also has to do a lot with driving styles too. because a lot of the NWE guys like to just cruise when we do the drives. Me and a few others are the exact opposite of that. i am more of the 140-160 on I-5 type of guy.(and some of you think i am exaggrating with that speed but if you knew me you wold know that i aint). so to sum it all up it's just a matter of diffrent personalities, diffrent driving styles, and people just plan having other things that are more important to them than hanging out with a bunch of car guys. i can almost guarantee that there are guys who only wont to be in NWE's simply to get help installing there parts and help when something breaks and discounts from some of the local stores. and that is all i have to say about that and i will now return back to my normal never posting but yet always reading quiet self.

I think a big problem is that hardly anyone uses yahoo groups anymore. I hardly see anyone post about meeting up or anything. We need to do more planning instead of last minute things.

The interest is there, it's just that when you mention things at the last minute or call people on Friday for a sunday event, it's hard to make it.

Schedule in advance and people will make preparations to show up. We don't have enough organization.

Actually, 3 of us went to Bremerton. Auto-X is way more fun than drag racing!!!!! lol.

I put an order in for decals (out of pocket). They will be ready next week sometime. I ordered 25 large and 50 small. If you have seen my car then you know what they look like.

Oh and I will keep the club going, thanks for all of your input.

I post things as soon as hear about them. Also I am not the only one that needs to set things up. Despite popular belief, you guys can post drives and events that you want to do,,,,,,, What did you guys do while I was deployed?????? Oh yeah, not that it matters but I am leaving again for another 4 months at the end of August.
