I would'nt mind making this trip. Is anyone from the Oak Harbor-Bellingham WA area going? This sounds like it will be a fun drive and a good time. I'm rather new to the Pacific Northwest and Mt. St. Helen is one of the things I was looking forward to seeing when I took orders to NAS Whidbey Island. If anyone else from this part of Washington is going - let me know, I'll make the trip if I'm not alone.

Brad hop over 520 and join us there...either that or you can meet us back up on I5 when we join up with the Tacoma peeps.
Well it looks like things are coming together rather well. For better comucation for the bremerton side of the water, or any one trying to keep in touch. I just got a new cell phone # (360) 286-3400. Lets keep this post hot. Josh
Evo666 you can go if you want. I have lots of respect for Evo conversions
. We shouldnt be racing or driving like madmen. You should have no problem keeping up.

Everett did you post directions to your house? And maybe the route we're going on....just kinda want to start getting a feel for it

Brad: Ok see you then
I am having problems getting the map show. I need help. I will get it figured out this weekend. If someone wants they can look at a map and check the route until I get it posted. We are going to leave my house in Chehalis and go thrue town and drive to Jackson Hwy. We will follow Jackson Hwy. to State Route 505 thrue Toledo then we will turn onto Hwy 504 wich is the main Hwy. to the mountain. We will drive to Johnston Ridge visitor center. Big parking lot. Go check out the sites and take pictures. Then we will leave drive 504 to Castle Rock to I-5 ( Faster route back) back to my house in Chehalis and have a BBQ. The drive is nice. We will be driving thrue Lewis and Clark state park on Jackson Hwy. on the way their. Usaully the roads are not that busy. Should be fun. PM me for my address or call me at (360) 880-6749. I will have maps for everyone the day of the drive and explain the route again. Thanks.
Wow, I just scouted the drive, Got bored, was going to just check out the drive to the main hwy. to 504. Well instead of driving to Castle Rock and coming home I turned left and went up the mountain. Dont know if any of you have driven up Mt. St. Helens just before it gets dark. What a veiw. Only saw around 5 cars while driving up and down the Mountain. Went all the way to Johnston Ridge. Still has snow up their. None on the road so dont worry. This is going to be a fun little drive. It only took around 1.5 hours to get to Johnston Ridge from my house. This was driving the speed limit most of the time. So I figure the drive thier and back is around 3 hours + 1 hour to stop and take in the seenery. If we all meet at my house at around 10:00 and leave around 10:30 we should be able to be back at my place for BBQ around 2:30 to 3:00. Dont forget to bring radio's if you have them. Cell phones dont work that well on the mountain. Well cant wait to see everyone. Should be fun.
