Advan's are yokohama's like I said where on my car stock in 03.....But like he said some dealerships put on their own tires. I never said that all evo's or all MR's come with pirelli's. I said I have seen some MR'S out here in PA with pirellis from the dealer. Might say newb but I joined ard the same time you did

Thanks for all your condolences guys. Sorry to spark this debate about the tires. The bottom line is that I pushed the tires beyond their capabilities. As for steering out of it; I'm a decent driver (not ready for the WRC yet) but it happened so fast I didn't have time to respond. By the time I realized I was loosing it, it was too late. I usually pushed it a little when it rained to see where the limits of my tires were; on Friday morning I found out.

I don't know when I'll be getting another EVO (if the insurance company totals it). Like I said, my wife and I were planning to buy another house this year. Reducing my monthly outlay by $600 makes a big difference. I'm gonna wait a little while before getting another one. But, I definitely have to get another EVO. This weekend I was looking around at other cars that I could buy and nothing can match what the EVO has to offer. For me, it's the perfect car.

I'll still be checking the forum to see what's going on. Maybe I'll try to tag along with someone when they go on a run. Hey Dwayne, need a co-driver? Ha ha, just kidding.

WOW... at least you are ok... did you find out if the car is totaled yet or not??... if it is totaled you should still take off the good parts of the car and sell them...

Yeah didn't mean it that way . I've gotten lucky a few times and have had time/space to correct. I'm a pretty crappy driver actually.
