SCCA Time Trials Sat 7/22 @ Bremerton
ok, since we all had so much fun poundig on the track last weekend - any of you guys ready to kick it up a notch? SCCA time trials are being held at Bremerton next week Sat (7/22). Same as auto-x (race the clock), but on a big track with higher speed, shifting, etc. Best part:
One additional item that has been added to this event is an award to the car club that has the best turn out of its members.
Considering that NWE evos were the biggest group at the last auto-x, we have a pretty good shot at this. Who's ready to represent
?
When: July 22nd (sat)
Where: Bremerton
What: NW SCCA club time trials
Cost: $110

A Club Trials event provides a constructive learning environment that stresses proper driving techniques, while at the same time offering a timed, competitive event at higher speeds similar to those at track lapping days. Unlike the popular lapping day events, Club Trials are competition events with timing, scoring and awards. Like lapping days, driving instructors are available to assist you in driving to your fullest potential.
Due to event insurance requirements, entrants must be SCCA members. 90 day temporary SCCA memberships will be issued to all non-members free of charge. Should an individual decide within the 90 days to join the SCCA, they will receive a $15 discount on the first year membership dues.Entry forms can be found on the NWR-SCCA website (www.nwr-scca.org). We look forward to seeing you on the track.

they have the same classes as auto-x, so there is a novice class and coaches will be available. If you've done auto-x, you should be ready for this - of course track experience is going to be helpful. I'll get all the details and edit the first post as I get answers.

ok, i'm officially confused - there are "club trials" and "track trials" listed on the schedule, and I have no idea what the difference is. Then is says something about "no passing" in certain runs, which seems to imply there is passing in others - but that wouldn't be a time trial anymore. I'm going to call the guy and try to figure this out ...
