Talking Dave`s Next Drive Aug 12th

Meeting up at the Newburg Fred Myer`s @ 1130, we will be leaving @ 1200-1215.

the drive will be a very twisty route, so we will not be driving insane crazy! we do not want to get to spaced out, there are a few forks in the road that everybody needs to take the right path, lol....

i will definatly be bringing a cooler with water, and sandwitches this time. there wont be as many gas stations this time so make sure you have a full tank of gas.

and questions please feel free to shoot me an email. @ Brewpubeaver@gmail.com

Dave

Follow the red line, we will Start @ Fred`s in Newburg @ 11:15....

shouldnt take that long, but the roads are very windy, and narrow most of the time... so the seeds will be kept very well at one pace. (my pace)

my pace is a pace that has many factors...

i always ask people when we stop for input. too fast, too slow... how many people show up, age, type of car...

we want everyone to make it back with out any dents in there car...

I've been on some of these roads, should be fun. I'll probably go, if the car is working.

I love that stretch of road from Willamina to Carlton. Always my favorite detour coming home from the coast. I'l have to try and make this drive.

okey guy`s.

I drove the route on Sunday, wow. just amazing. the turns are schweet, the roads are flat for the most part, and there are huge white outlines where there are and dips.

BUT**

there is a small section that is gravel. looks like it was paved at one point but now it is mostly gravle. it isnt to bad, i did the 2.4 miles doing 30-40mph with no issues at all in my car, with al the stiff suspension mods that i have. it was a little bumpy but not bad at all.

there is a parking area befor and after the gravel section. i figue if we stagger the cars by 2 minutes there will be a minum amount of dust.

Just a heads up.

the Roads are so amazing out there that you can see the whole valley when you get on top. lots of awesome picture places.

And as i said befor. i will be bringing a ice chest with lots of water, and sandwithes for anyone that gets hungry. there really isnt any places to get food out there. so make sure you have a full tank of gas when you get to the Fred`s. and we can all stop there on the way back as well. hit up the Taco bell or somewhere close.
