Weird, Paul I forget that you are only a 5 speed and have a big gap between 4th and what is about my 6th. I'd go with what Towelie said and just plan on winding it out.

9K in 4th would give you about 136 in the quarter, which should be good for mid 10's.

And I highly doubt you could beat me, the first run was a 12.1 and i was shifting @ 7500 because i forgot to ask towel head when to shift

 

And the second run was up on the rev limiter...need to bump that up (8500 for the big end now).
