Why can't a car run 9's and still handle well?

It's an EVO for goodness sake; building a crazy motor like this isn't going to make it stop cornering. :-/

 

you silly goose, didnt you know that evo's were not made for rally, drag racing, raodracing, or general driving for that matter. the evo originated in east Zimbabwey where is was used for cattle hearding and feild mowing till the turn of the century when a traveling japanise (sp) man spotted it while on a expadition and though wow, that would make a great rally car. he then traded a farmer 3 majic beans and pair of nike air shoes for on those crazy evo farm machines. when getting back to japen they decided to make i all wheel drive and boost that *****. the rest is history. i know this for sure becasue i read it on the internet.

1. Ricers that put huge stickers on and multi-colored wheels
2. Noobs that dump 30k into an evo even though they have never worked on their car or raced at all.

Here’s my take. I can see why shops build cars like this. Big HP and fast ET's are good for publicity. I can also understand why a guy in his garage might do it. For the love of motor sports and the Zen of working so hard toward a certain goal. To me, neither is happening here. I’m sorry that my comments were misconstrued as a personal attack. I’m not "hating" on ifarted, just trying to figure out where he is coming from on this.

I guess I should just ask the man himself.
