Hey Voidhawk, I am almost positive I have pictures of your car from HIN, I just realized it after I looked at your pictures closely. Let me know if you want to look at them.

sweet! I got nothing but crap photos 'cause my camera couldn't handle the lighting. So yeah, post them or send them by email . ewig@aa.washington.edu

I sent them to you, not all of them turned out the greatest, the dark lighting also messed my camera up.

i have a question about installing those overlays..

cant you just like pull the needles off, to get rid of the old guages, and of course take the bulbs that light the those old gauges..

i mean is that even an option to do?

maybe that would fix the headlight icon matching issue?

taking the needles off is chancy, because it may mess up the calibration so that they do not read correctly after you put them back on. Fixing the headlight icon is easy - just don't put that part of the overlay on in the first place (the stock cluster is black there already).

You don't need to remove the needles at all to install my gauges.

Ralph, I'm buying the black overlays from him when they come available in a few weeks.

In my instruction manual, you can have two options, one is lights up whenever the car is running and the other one is when you turn on your headlights, both are connect to the wire behind the stock gauges cluster.

get some wire taps and save some time on spicing the wires. just clip and click. take your time with the overlays, make sure you tape them down well. no need to take out the needle, just take your time.
