The 3rd day of the Cyprus WRC rally included an exhibition run through downtown of the Cyprus captial. If you ever had any doubts that

1) AWD cars can drift
2) understeer is a bad bad thing
3) WRC spectators are suicidal

doubt no more . One of the cars goes straight into a small wall and almost takes out a photographer - knucking futs!

I got all of the WRC so far this year if you want a copy of any of the rounds let me know I can burn them for you.. Most are AVI and/or DIVX files. on a side note, Pay the guy for the down loads @ http://www.enormouslysideways.net/ He doesn't ask for much but you get great quaility of files from him..

 

This year has been most disappointing. I would like to see Loeb in a completely different car and make sure he's no "one hit wonder". And would someone please get Solberg a better car!

I also would like to see homologation come back. I hate to hear the Citroen/Pegueot fans with all the talk at home but no car they can run on the street/track.

 

yeah I hear you - I think the best stage this year was Sweden, if for no other reason than that there were two Evo's battling it out for the lower places. With mitsu out of the WRC, Subaru unable to keep their cars together, Ford using a car that's not sold in the US, etc. the tech aspect of the WRC is certainly pretty weak this year. Still gotta love the driving though, even if the driver's championship is pretty much in the bag by now.

 

Nor anywhere else. You can get the Focus RS in Europe/Home but its also only FWD and abuot 200hp. So no AWD 300hp monster there .

Bring back homologation!!

No homologation would have meant no Evo, no WRX, no Celica GT-4 (alltrac), no Escort Cossie's and no Pulsar GTi-R.
