Right now, I'm not going to get into any details as to what happened or anything. All I will say is that I was not racing, or anything stupid like that.

However, I will say this. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone because with as many cars as there were, I'm not entirely sure if there was only one or two red Evo's in the crowd; but I believe that there was only one. I know who he was for sure, and I won't say his name here. During my whole ordeal, I was told it was started because a red Evo and a blue STi were racing down I-5 towards Olympia, cutting off other motorists and were estimated to be above 100mph. Before they pulled me over they had SIX INDIVIDUAL reports of those two. They also had reports of a silver or gray Evo racing 2 Hondas. These vehicles are the reason they swarmed I-5 in the first place. I happened to fit the description of the silver/gray Evo, so they came after me. I was talking to Shawn (Baby Evo 8) at the time, and he had seen the red Evo and the blue STi racing and cutting people off, and also had seen some Hondas and an Evo ( if I remember correctly, I could be wrong ) goofing off in front of us.

It was made really clear that the whole point of this was to show the public that we all do not street race. Even at the meeting point, the coordinator stressed that he didn't want anyone racing on their way down to Olympia. While I was pulled over, I personally witnessed at least ten cars being stupid on the freeway and cops were everywhere.

Since I've been told that law enforcement agencies will be looking at the forums over this whole ordeal, I won't get into anything about mine on here. I have been told though that they hope to prevent this from ever happening again. If this is the case, people have ruined a really good thing by racing on the freeway during this.

On a side note, who is a really good attorney in the area?
Yeah this sucks big time. Let us know how it works out .

I just want everyone to know that two of the Evo's there are from Carfreeks. My Evo and Supermacs Evo are light gray. We left early for Izzys to avoid any trouble, and the traffic. Carfreeks does not have anything to do with what happened on the freeways. Please don't think it was us. I have to say, that I am disapointed in the couple of other Evo's that caused the trouble. It is giving us a bad name.
But on a good note, it was nice to meet some of you.

Yeah, but it sucks that you had to pay the price for someone elses stupidity. I hope Toys for Tots is not ruined because of some idiots.

You see this is the reason I do not go on these anymore...I went on two of these "cruises" with a different club (not EVO's) a few years ago and it was just plain stupidity. Driving 100mph+, cutting off the freeway at the last second, swerving in and out, "brake" checking. There were probably 20-25 cars "owning" the freeway. I finally lost the caravan, I'm not gonna be part of a 50 car pile up because one fast car cut off an innocent, and that person freaked out and turned into the side rail and 49 cars rammed each other...ok thats drastic but maybe 5 cars

One idea is to have everyone register, gather all info on car and driver and get to know the people. Or just have a cop go with you in a squad car!(or unmarked EVO squad car!) That would slow you down REAL quick...We have cops on this board, right? Be a good speed trap for Cops, too, as all the "other" cars try to impress them as they speed by at 100Mph...oh dang I'm ruining the fun

My carclub has a lot of drives. But, we keep it respectable. If anyone acts like an idiot, they are gone.
