YEP. THATS RIGHT! SUNDAY DEC. 5TH. 9:30 AM AT 272ND PARK N RIDE. EXIT 147. GONNA DRIVE DOWN TO OLYMPIA IZZY'S. DROP OFF TOYS AND EAT LIKE KINGS.
this is going to be a BIG ONE. i want to see everybody there. i mean everybody. this is for the children that are less fortunate. i don't care what you bring, a hot wheel or a stuffed animal. just an unopened toy. this will show the comunity that all the cars are not street racing all the time. this will be an open forum event. i will post on other forums. . YOU NEED TO BE AT THIS ONE!

time: 9:30 am
place: 272nd park n ride. exit 147 off I-5 federal way washington.
bring: unopened toy

we will be leaving the park n ride at 10 am. drive the speed limit all the way down I-5 to exit 107. would be nice to have 75 to 100 cars in a line. drop off toys at izzy's pizza and eat for a whopping $5.99. they will have a breakfast buffet, pizza, salad bar, desert bar, soda. excellent food for an excellent price.

I know for a FACT that I will make EVERY effort possible to be there. I think this is perfect opportunity to show the community we care, and we're not just a bunch of punk street racers. If there is anything at all I can do to help, let me know.

 

I just posted the link and the thread on www.newbeetle.org lots of guys from this area and everyone is ALWAYS looking for a good cause.

 

I usually work that day but will put in for the day off. Sound cool and when I explain to the supervisor it shouldnt be a problem.

 

I'm sure there will be interest from our club members.

 

Ill try hard to make it.. toy runs are always fun.. I go to the big harley portland run every christmas...

 

i have to be in seattle to work Monday Night Football on the 6th( the cowboys are comin to town) so i will be there

 

This sounds like an awesome run. I always love to help when it comes to kids... So even if I have to get up at 5 am to make it there from corvallis, I will. So I hope that everyone can show up for this one it would be great. helping the kids and the community is always a good thing.

 

yeah. any other forums would be appretiated. those were the ones i knew from a previous thread. sorry about the links, i didn't think abut them going to a different thread. was there just to show what forums i invited.

i hope this turns out to be a big thing. if it goes well i would like to do it every year. nothing feels better than knowing you made some little kid a better christmas. thanks to all who will be going and hope to see 100 cars goin down I-5 for a GOOD cause.


and the harley toy runs is what inspired me to get this going. i miss riding in those.

 

Will be posting a flyer at AXIOM Motorsports in Tacoma. Also am interested in contacting the State Patrol for an escort. Let me know your thoughts. The reason behind this is to keep everyone together, ie no missed lights, etc.

 

maybe someone should post this on the vwvortex site. i am not sure what the address is but, they have oodles of members in the area.

 

Im definately going to try to make this one... like Canada said this is for a good... and Ryan a WSP escort would be awesome... im on mcchord too... so I will probably have to request that day off... or take leave... cuz I work on sundays... but shouldn't be a problem....

 

OK, I posted some flyers at AXIOM, as well as Les Schwab in Lakewood. I havent had a chance to call the WSP for an escort yet. Will try to do that tomorrow.

I spoke with the WSP today and they couldn't commit to anything because of liability issues, however they did say they would do some research on the issue. The possibility of motorcycle escorts could happen if the officers would volunteer their time. I am supposed to get a call tomorrow with more information. Will keep you posted. I am leaving to AZ for three weeks but I am sure I can find an internet connection there somehow. This run is going to be awsome!!!
