dave have you considered a standalone, just seems logical for the money you have in that thing. I guess you don't see many sti's with a standalone though, so something must be working ok.

good luck with your traps, i'd rather see that thing on the road course instead of the straits.

Just so there is some clarification. The White Evo is EvoGod's and it's not stock. The Ecu has been flashed, it has a turboback exhaust, and he was at 20psi at the time of that race ( to Dave's credit). So I guess compared to others it's basically stock, but Dave you have alot of ***** putting that on here. I'm glad most people are being mature and not giving you a real hard time about this. Props buddy!

I thought that was Caesar's MR. But I wasn't sure so I didn't say anything.

I dont care about loosing to a EVO, i am the first to addmit that the EVO is a far better platform for raw power then the Subie.

i did 510whp in 5th gear with the stock header on the car w/C16* @ 30psi.... it moves, lol.

i'll get another header on the car in a few months, as well as get a pull over @ TF`s in 4th for compairo numbers to my 30r. set up. should be a vast improvment.

So i guess if i want to try for 130mph i will have to drive down south...

hopefully i can get this damn fueling issue sorted out soon.

the ECU thinks it is a good thing to shut off the fuel pump and the injectors at random times.... we replicated it on the dyno, so we have the logs... really weird to see the volt meter read 12.98 volts to 4 volts all of a sudden...

A stock Evo beating a 500whp STI?

How many of you actually believe that?, I have no doubt that the Evo ran faster but can anyone prove the Evo was stock and the STI had WHP? Either the STI wasn't running 100% or there was something else unvealed

I have my reservations..

Carlos

did you read the other posts?

He isn't bragging that a stock evo beat his STi because stock evos are so fast. He is pissed that a stock or an evo with little mods is beating his 500whp STi. He is having problems with the STi.

Anybody that read the post knows that it actually has nothing to do with the fact he got beat, it's to help resolve his issue.

Are you sure you aren't hitting some sort of fuel cut?

its going back to the low pressure setting during the middle of your run.

Faulty fuel pump relay?

lol..

yea man just posted up to get some ideas as to what was the issue... and i have some sort of half assed sence of humor.

Actually it seemed all down to a bad negative on the stock MAP sensor. We took the stock sensor out of the picture and used the TurboXS sensor 100%. Calibrated the ECU to read the TXS sensor as it's used when you start the car. UTEC runs everything else. After this, no issues.

Here is snippet of log from the C16 UTEC SD tune. This resulted in 510 WHP. Dave is the newest member of the PDXTuning 500 club......

Note that the injectors max out right at the end. These are modified stock injectors feed by the Bushar modified walbro pump. Nothing exciting in the log file. EGT's were high but under control, I think we could have leaned it out to 12.5:1 and got back a little injector duty cycle.

I do think the stock headers effected the upper HP.

have you thought about hard wiring the fuel pump power supply?

Off course I read the post. That is exactly my point, there was something hindering the full performance of the car. A good mechanically sound 500 whp STI walks away from any stock Evo in the world, any stock Evo.

This topic's title doesn't fully represent the content. A STI having fuel issues is not a 500whp STI. Simple as that.

The frustation of the owner is making him make his own understimations. There are other dozen of real 500whp STI owners out there spanking stock Evos that certainly will disagree with his statements.

..I have a 1000whp dodge Viper Twin turbo but I got spanked by a stock Eclipse GSX because my BOV was stuck open and I couldn't built boost you see what I mean?

Would that Viper TT had the BOV funtioning properly then what?. I don't have a Viper TT, but I am bringing an analogy.

The title should had said:

My malfuntioning dyno tested 500whp STI lost to a stock Evo
