Need bodyshop recommendation.

Well, some ***** hit the front of my parked car, so... I need a good recommendation to a good body shop at a good price. I'm ordering a new front bumper, so all I need done is installation and paint. If anyone knows who will do it the cheapest that would be great. But not cheap work of course. I'm looking for something either in the Tigard, OR area or the Tacoma, WA area. Those are the two areas I frequent the most. I've already checked out 5 Star Autobody in Tacoma and they quoted me at $375. That seems a little high to me. If anyone knows of something better let me know.

Thanks guys.

Installing a front bumper is easy, you can do it yourself and save cash. $375 is about average so you're not getting ripped off.. otherwise if you want to save a few bucks go to Maaco in Tacoma. They have a good rating for a maaco company.

Cool, thanks. Do you know if the streetconcept bumpers come predrilled? If they do then I could definitely do it. Otherwise I don't know if I'll be able to get ahold of a drill to get it done.

Thanks for the offer. I've actually taken mine off before, and when I reinstalled it I didn't reinstall the undertray so it will be much easier to take it off next time. The only problem I might run into is if the bumper that I ordered doesn't have predrilled holes. If that's the case then I may have to have the shop do it, or tear apart my storage to find mine.

Street Concept bumpers do not come pre drilled. Though they have indents for where you drill your own holes. Remember, aftermarket bumpers hardly ever fit right in all the right places.. Sometimes they won't even fit so before you put the bumper on or drill holes, test fit it and make sure its not pre warped, cracked, etc.

this is true...but it usually happends when you opt to save a few pennies and buy a replica. do your research before you buy one...

Also if a paint shop ***** up they might blame it on the bumper, so take pictures and stuff before you send it in. My rear bumper they broke this little lip that hooks onto where the liscense plate mounting bracket hooks on. They blamed it on the bumper, although it is an authentic ChargeSpeed. I didn't take pictures before I brought it in so I was fooked.. although I found out later that the bracket works better without that little lip and you can't see the lip when the bumper is mounted anyways.

Yes I'm still commin Chewie.. I expect to get back on the 12th.

Coyners Auto Body up in St. Johns ('bout 20 minutes from Tigard on a Saturday) does decent work. Friends of my dad's, we've had a few vehicles in there before, was pleased with how things came out
