Need help.. from FT.Lewis people.

My friend is going to be station at FT.Lewis for next 3 years. And he's currently looking for apt in the area. Can anyone recommend good area to live in?

If he's single he'll prolly be in the barracks. If he's married, I'd stay clear of anywhere around Ft Lewis as the areas are prone to have your car broken into or worse.
If he's married he'll go through a session with the housing department about the best locally and safe appartments since on post housing is currently super overbooked.

have him look for a house to rent instead of an apt. i was there for 3 years, started in an apt, then found a house for 50 more a month in rent. it was in university place and i had no problems at all.

Stay away from Sierra Sun, they charge extra fees for military when you leave. Really retarded.

I think thats against the law. If you show them your PCS orders they cant charge you for breaking contract....I think the orders supercede the contract...lol

I live in south hill and love it. I have had no problems, other then some punk kids who tryed to egg my evo. I my whole leg up there asses. I had poop up to my thigh..lol

Trust me they make up stuff, I went throught the evil "Equality" housing company here on Lewis. They will get their money, overcharged for carpet damage my son caused and said the place was still dirty after I spent 3 days scrubbin that bish. I been through enough GI parties back in the day when I was single to know how to pass inspections.

92oct most places.. one I heard is rumored to have 95oct?
