Tire-d

Looking for new rubber, wonder if anyone has experienced the Hankook Ventus V4 ES. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Looking for something that works near stock level, wears better and isn't afraid of rain and costs less than replacing Advan's. Anyone with experience on this subject please feel free to comment. Thanks

Alot of people seem to go with Kuhmo MX or Falken RT-615 for performance cost basis like yourself. Derek

I say Advan Neova's, but they arent easy on the wallet. I know the old Azenis were good, but in the rain/damp conditions they left a lot to be desired. Not sure how the 615 are, but they are priced good.

I read some folks said that the Falken RT-615's were weak in the wet but great otherwise. In this climate, that sounds like a no go. Heard good things about the Neova's except the cost. I guess you gotta pay to play. Anyone know anything about the Goodyear Eagle F1 DSG3? Any personal experience? I know they performed well in that tire comparo but....

Goodyear Eagle F1 DSG3 pretty sure they came stock on the R32 that I had. If its the same tire they sidewall is soft, but yes it does good in the rain. If you have grooved highways it wanders

the GSD3 sidewall is a lot softer than what you are used to, steering response will suck comparatively to stock tires.

So the Falken's are OK in the rain and have a stiff sidewall? Sounds better. Are the Neova's about the best short of A046's. Any other aftermarket tires you guys running, want to weigh in on the subject? What does Towelie run when the Advan's give up? I was about ready to buy the Eagle's but Ashumo's experience with them is enough to change my mind.

The Goodyear tires are very good tires if you're not pushing your car all the time. I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires on my car right and they do fine since I'm not driving like the world is my race track.

I hear ya, but I'm feeling like it may be worth it to pay more not to lose the handling and steering response that I've grown to know and love. Besides, on occasion, I do drive like the world is my racetrack!

That's why I have Advans on my stock BBS wheels. Only Advans will ever touch those wheels.

Get some Neovas then...245/40/17 for your stock wheels should be fine....its the most I'd personally run on a stock wheel.
