Well, Supermac is my friend. He attends all of my forum drives. And I have never had a problem from him. From a few of you on this thread, I probably will not be attending any of these drives. To each his own, but I am getting the impresion that people think they are special because they own an Evo. Honestly, I should go get my Evo all muddy and show up for this drive since someone said clean cars only.
On another note, sorry Lucas about ruilning your thread. You are cool, and I think your drive will be awesome. It is a few of the others that are going to sway people from coming to this.

 

Jaymzz- No one thinks they are special because they drive an Evo. As stated before this a DSM/EVO meet that started way back with NWDSMs and has been going on every year since. Since most people who used to own DSMs now own Evos it people thought it would be ok to open the invite to other Evo owners. Supermac last year thought he would just take the info from here and cross post it to other forums, not caring that it is a Evo/DSM meet and inviting others to join no matter what they owned or drove.

 

Only a couple more weeks till this cruise and I can't wait.

F*** I had a 420A N/T Eclipse at HRR last year and I was the slowest guy there, minus the RX-8. And as I have preached over and over again on DSMTuners and POS is that even though I was in a 420A Eclipse, I was accepted by all the NWDSM guys, laughed at and made fun of, but accepted none the less... Why? BECAUSE I WASN'T A F***ING A**HAT!! I didn't run my mouth. I didn't spam every forum about the run. I stayed to the back out of the way. I joked around and had a few laughs. Made some friends and contacts. And gee... It was the most fun I had ever had! And I went to all of the following meets as well in the same car... Thankfully I no longer have that car, but that's not the point. The point is that no matter what car I was driving, I'd be fine to go...

Hey Chris, how long was it til u painted your kit? a week or so? So you drove a RX8 that ran good (other than the radiator cap Problem) rather than a DSM. Big f'ing deal. I am so glad I got out of mitsu's when I did.

 

No, he showed up in an ugly, ricey (unpainted bodykit?) car that smelled like ***, sounded like crap and was slow as *****.

No one wants the attention that a riced out car brings from other motorists and the police. No one wants to smell antifreeze all the way up multnomah falls. No one wants to listen to an N/A rotary wheeze its way up hills.

Frankly, the run is for people to show up and not be douchebags.

Jaymzz: clean doesn't necessarily refer to dirty, although washing your car before a run usually makes sense because a phenomenal number of pics get taken during the run. It refers to ghetto hoopties and riced out POS's.
