Went on this run a couple years ago, and I will say its fun. But after reading this thread I am gonna have to pass this year. I hope everyone gets along no matter what car they bring to this drive.

This is true but, seems a little like High School. Although this meet/drive is fun there seems to be too many rules going on. Its become an "Exclusive" only type thing. Which isnt bad if done the right way. The way its being presented is wrong. The holier than thou thing just doesnt fly with a lot of people. Just my observation.

 

IS Drag night free? but i know have to wear Snell 95 or DOT Approve helemt racing.

Is there gonna be a tech inspection when people show up to make sure everyone has the right car and parts? FTW!!!

 

There will be a visual inspection of the vehicle prior to the event taking place. Safety issues will be addressed as well as proper verification of engine code prior to departure. Any vehicle failing inspection will not be allowed to participate. By virtue, the common Evo owner is not as resourceful as a DSM owner. Every DSM owner in attendance will have a mini tool kit as well as extra water, coolant, zipties, duct tape, Diet Pepsi cans to serve as UICP couplers and empty 1 liter soda bottles to serve as coolant overflow bottles. The common Evo owner will not have the above items, and if improper setup causes a failure, be it mechanical or otherwise, we will not stop to conduct repairs. Mitsubishi offers comprehensive Road Side Assistance with the purchase of a new Evo. As such, there will be no stopping once the run is under way, save for routine vantage points for photo opportunities.
