Got a few friends from NWHonda, Seattle RSX and EvoM to hang out and do some legal drags at Pac Raceway in Auburn. Everyone is welcome to join. We'll have fast cars and slow cars (we're talking 18-19 sec cars here ) in the group so don't worry about how fast your car is. It's all about the racing experience and knowing how to drive your car.

when: Fri 6/6 @ 5pm, race til late night.
where: Pacific Raceway in Auburn
why: drive fast, no cops, get time slips and meet other imports
cost: $25 to race, plus $10 annual membership. $10 to watch
attire (to race): must have long pants. Cars faster than 14.00 sec are required to wear a helmet.

We'll be meeting at the pits, just look for all the imports and my big red wing.

i'll be there in either the evo, or the loaner 98 mirage automatic we'll see if i can crack the 18s in that POS. the evo is getting her tranny looked at for synchro problems on 5th gear. dunno when they'll be done since none of the techs have seen what an evo tranny looks like.

 

Looks like I'm gonna have my catback finished by next weekend and I should have my highflow cat shortly after. We'll need to hit the track after that. Maybe we can arrange a club track day/night or something?

 

How late are these drags? Not sure exactly what my plans are for this weekend, if nothing comes up I'd roll on up there! My car is in the shop right now so I guess it would depend on what happens with that as well.

EDIT: Got a call back from service. The problem I have which just started this Sunday is a knocking type sound from the front end springs. Everytime I went over a bump or pulled hard right or drove up into a driveway it would make this sound. The problem part was from the coil spring insulator. They are going to order the part and should take a few days to get in. Though for now they are going to give me my car back.

EDIT: Have my car back, and the part is on order. Should be here on Thursday/Friday and install should only take a few hours. Plan is that I should have my car back on Friday evening.

 

you guys missed out. hot day at the tracks, mostly muscle cars (aside from my friends) and the heat wasnt kind to small motors. best run was 13.6 against an rsx-s. i'll post vids up when available.

 

13.6... damn skippy better than the runs at PIR!

 

dunno what it was at PIR... prolly just not used to the track. i'd like to run that track again some cool evening and see if i can do better.
