Jestr flash dyno results

You saw my previous post about the new Dyno Jet AWD dyno in Kirkland. I did 264hp/248tq with a TBE only.

I sent away for a Jestr M1 flash and re-dyno'd the car on Saturday.

305 HP and 309 tq!

I am amazed at how much power I got from just a $50 change!

I have started down the slippery slope of more power... What are my next upgrades to do? It seems that I have a few optimizing parts I can get - IC Piping, intake, etc. But the next real jump in power is from bigger turbo and the supporting mods (IC, injectors...etc) Right?

Is 400whp a realistic goal for stock internals?

Marek

Lets put it this way. I am going to hopefully put down over 400 awhp with my mods on stock internals minus ofcourse cams springs and retainers oh and head studs lol. All thats easy though.

Mods are as follows.

BR Intake w/maf pipe
3 inch turbo back w/o cat
255 Whine bro
780 cc precision injectors
perrin fuel rail
hks 280s
bc springs and ti retainers
arp head studs
HPF Fmic
HPF Upper and lower ic piping
Snow performance stage 2 meth kit with safe injection
Snail of some sort not trying to let the cat out of the bag

You can make over 350 whp without a turbo and you can almost hit 400 on the stocker. Meth is your friend, u can up the boost

All you guys who are making 400+whp need to replace your rod bolts.

People make up to 600whp on stock internals, consistantly; 400 is nothin.

You will see much larger power gains from meth injection and cams; follow those with a FMIC and larger turbo.

Congrats marek on the awesome gains! Your thread sold my descision to just go ahead and get the mail in tune bro. I now realize that with what I got done and this 50 dollar tune, I can now hit my goal (11s with no meth, stock fuel, stocker snail, all season tires) just bolt ons and cams. Taking nothing away from the upcoming tune in portland, but this is how im going to go guys. I do plan on being at jons next tune date sometime this summer, whatever him and anthony can work out.

The rod bolts have to be pressed in, and the old ones tapped out. It would be a real pain to attempt that with the head still attached, but technically you could leave the engine in the car.

Looking at your graph you seemed to have gained 75hp at 3000rpm - are you saying this is the difference between stock ECU and a Jestr flash and the only mods you have are a downpipe and exhaust - thats pretty impressive.

I should run on the Kirkland dyno. I did my before at FAME so did my after there and only show 305hp / 290tq and I have full Buschur Stage III (272 cams, full exhaust, downpipe, deulux intercooler, UICP, LICP, 22psi manual boost control, dynoflash, fuel pump). I was suprized this was low, but the air/fuel seems good and the car is running great, so I don't think I will mess with it anymore. I still have a high flow cat, stock injectors and stock header. This still means about 350 at the engine, so I think it's pretty good. Getting to 400 would be nice, but I'm not willing to put up with any more lag or drivability issues.
