Might be moving to the Seattle/Tacoma area

Just wanted to say hi to all the Northwest evo owners. My name is Chris and I have a fairly good chance of moving out to this area. Was there last week visiting my parents. Seen so many evos an stis. I was actually a little shocked at the amount of them out there. Im gonna need help finding a good local inspection station cause my car will have a fairly hard time passing right now Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Im not out there yet but the time will be approaching alot faster than I would like it to. Gonna be moving to the Puyallup area (with my parents) til I can get my life straight again but it would be great to meet up with some fellow evo owners. We always meet up here with the local Baltimore, Washington DC evo owners. Usually a good turnout. When Im out there Ill let you guys know. Thanks for the invite.

Look forward to meeting you when you get to WA. I myself am out of the country for an all expensed paid vacation to Iraq. Should be back soon though. There are tons of Evo owners in the state as well as a vast network of knowledge. You will have no trouble getting into the scene. Till then...

From what I have seen in the area its pretty nice. I see alot of signs though that say no racing from certain times and its kinda funny. There must be a big street racing scene there. Im getting more excited to come out there everyday. Just have to work out some wrinkles I have out here on the east coast then pack my stuff for the 2900 mile drive across country. Thats gonna be a nice fat fuel bill.

Where in maryland were you living and did you drive all the way across or have it shipped? I thought about driving but now Im thinking about having it shipped. For the same amount of money for gas and hotel and food I can ship it without racking up 3000 miles of cross country driving on my car.

Welcome guys, glad that you got to meet some of us this friday, but due to track day not everyone was there, come out this friday and hang out with us, hopefully this time we'll have the whole group there, oh and drive safe, our state has a big race reputation, what's not passing inspection? let me know and I'll try to help you out, if its a test pipe problem, best idea is to stick in the stock cat for the time ~ Jon

about passing inspection, would i be able to pass emissions with just throwing on a stock cat. i currently have the dc sports dp with cat delete so obviously i need to put on a different downpipe. Im running hks 272s also. The county i live in does not have bi- annual inspections or emissions testing. I just pay the 120 registration fee and then i get my stickers. I was just curious what was needed to pass. I also have an aftermarket HID kit and 20% tint all the way around. Im pretty sure I'll figure it all out. Thanks again and Ill hopefully be seeing everyone soon. ~Chris

emissions inspection is only required in certain counties and areas. where I live at (unincorporated king county) they're not required. We also have no state inspection out here.

I wouldn't worry about the tint, I had 20% on my last car and never got bothered.
