Acid dipping a car?
I think there's a shop in the Spokane area. I know my dad's shop sends metal there for galvinizing, and they have to acid dip before the galvinizing process. I don't know the name and stuff, but I could find out if you were intrested in one over in that side of the state.
Galvinizing metal is not good.. had wear mask respiator. and
u cant do that with Car metal. most automotive Steel is Stainless steel, Alumium, and conpect light weight steels

I am fighting rust, wanting to lose some weight, and get rid of all the seam sealer that way I can seam weld the body. And thanks for the phone number. I will call them tomorrow.
And hanahawaiian there is actually quite a lot of galvanized metal in cars. That is one of the reasons that if you don't ware a resperator when welding on automotive metals you can get alshiemers.(spelling?)

There's actually very little stainless, if any in car bodies (DeLoreans don't count). The Evo's use aluminum fenders, door skins, hood, trunk, and roof (MR) but for the most part it's just sheet metal. Stainless is very heavy and very expensive in comparison. My dad doesn't build/modify car chassis, he deals with large industrial equipment.
