i got cable, gonna host vids

So I finally got my cable modem .. and I'm gonna start hosting some TLNW video's .. or other things if you guys want. I'm gonna work on getting some up that are smaller but better quality .. anyone interested??

Always! How much hard drive space do you have to spare, Steve? Cuz if you've got enough, we could just use your comp to host all of our vids.

What is your upload speed for your cable connect? I hear most are capped at 128-256 which is a bit slow and not good for serving movies. JFYI

Well I've got a 100gig Hdd thats not being used, So I was thinking that. And .. I was thinking of just hosting an ftp so peeps could dl .. not for streaming. I'll test me upload speeds and will let ya know.

It should be 256 kilobits upload cap with Comcast, which is maxed at 32 kilobytes but it is realistically 28-30 for one user or if two users at once it splits that in half 14-15.

digdat, im interested in helping! i can upload at 60k max..someone wanna give me a ftp software? i dont wanna pay and the cracks for the new ftp's dont work..unless someone has one that works!!

my computer is up almost 24/7, months at a time..so it should be np. unless im playing games but then i could limit the bandwidth..

SO if anyone has some software i could use, plz send it to me
