don't cut the entire lip off and it won't be too weak. If the fender roller rolls from where the factory bend is, it's going to be weaker than cutting. The metal will no longer be at a 90 degree angle to the fender, so it won't be near as rigid as it was before rolling. It'll be the day when a fat chick leans against your fender and it collapses.

has anybody gotten this done locally yet? I got some serious rubbing on the 6/24 track day with my new 255s.

and your car isn't lowered a lot, what, 1/2" to 1" or so? I'm sure I'll have the same problem when I go to coilovers. I'll probably have Group2 roll the rears when they install the new suspension components.

Group2 is where I planned to go myself. For some reason a friends Audi didn't turn out well their at all. But another person I know his G35 turned out perfect. I think I may go pick their brain some.

edit: disregard this post, until I'm certain about the origin of the damage, I don't want to incorrectly blame Speedware.

-----------------------

bad news: Speedware borked it. drivers side is fine, passenger side.. the paint is completely scratched up, like they used sandpaper and a rotary buffer on it. not just a little, I mean trashed. I'll post pics shortly and let you know how the discussions with them go, before judgement is made.

I should mention: Speedware is my everyday oil change / springs installed / ducts installed / alignment / etc shop... who offered to roll them, when I asked for a referral.

Sorry to hear that. I do bidness with them too and would like to know how it turns out. Did they just give you the keys without discussing it?

right, I just settled up and got the keys... the drivers side is perfect, I didn't walk to the passenger side until I got it back to work (3 blocks drive).

talking with them now, will provide another update. Have the pics, will post shortly.

they may still step up and make it right, we'll see.

ok took it back for inspection: they maintain that it was there when I brought it in, and that it's track pickup.

I had waxed it on Sunday, raced it Wednesday, rolled fenders today.

I've definitely been wrong before. I'll revoke the accusations, until I get a chance to polish it up and see what's what.

pics still coming
