I would guess it's because MOST of America is above sea level. Seattle is a coastal city at VERY low elevation... but that's just a guess.

My 83' VW Rabbit GTi said 93 octane too...

Crap! I went to the Chevron today (hadn't been there in about 2 weeks or so) and they changed their labeling to 92.

Back to mixing, I guess!

I don't suppose you have a cross street or other info? Pacific is a BIG street! I want some 93 for the Dyno tomorrow.

There is 93oct at a Cheveron in lakewood on Lakewood drive and Cluster....I think. 94oct @ the Cenex is less dense than regular because of the 10% enthenal unless you were tuned for it.

E10 it harmless. Now all gas station have 5 to 10% ethol mixed with gas..

It don't affect anything.. It good gas..
E85 to E95 have to tuned and change system to read..

94 octane with 10% it great and a lot sti, motorcycles, evo, dsm, rx7, sr20 power, etc came to cenex 94.. It nothing big deal.. I use almost everyday.. I went straight 94 76 gas and felt same. So 101 trick gasloine definty change.. But need switch tuner map to racing fuel.. It awesome. I finally got laptop.. And lucas tuned my evo. I told him 10% ethaol in 94 octane. He say naw it ok and he tuned. And everything fine.

So I may wrong or gotta wait Arron or lucas repsond on this and answer questions

^ You are still propbably running rich cause you didn't have a wideband at that time unless you got a tune with one. And it does have an effect but I don't know how much so. It depends on the car and the tuner.

I have read the owners manual too, how it saids it recommends not require. You can run 92, 91, 90, 89, 88, and 87 oct. If the car sense low octane and the car will switch over to the low octane map unless that map was change by a tuner. And if the car detects knock then the car will retarded ing timing. That low octane map is richer than a triple chocolate german moose cake.

14.5 is little on the lean side, @ idle you should be around scoch, 12.5.

I was talking about plain gas, but if you are running E85, then you should be around 14.5.
